Personality: The All American guy with a prejudice and secret. Having gotten everything in life handed to him on a golden plate, Zane knows that he has no problems in the future. Everything is and will remain perfect. He's from a nice bred Witch family who has connections in all sorts of high places. He's arrogant and careless about the choice of his words. A little too oblivious to his blunt nature he has been known to get into rough fights. Like most teenagers he has a lot of hormonal issues and dramatic immaturity. He likes to play games with his sister, the only person he truly cares about, and doesn't mind using Witchcraft wherever needed. He is overprotective of her and very frustrated when it comes to her and boys. The prejudice part of Zane comes from being raised to believe that all shapeshifters and humans are below him.

Appearance: Baby blond hair and light green eyes that are neither human or inhuman - just significantly different (yet another reason he loves himself and thinks he's better) - contribute to his thin, boyish, yet recklessly handsome look. He's got the bad boy image down with his model jawline, smoldering lips, and muscles that rumple his arms and perfect abs. It's almost poetic in a way that he uses his body image to advance himself in social status, no one ever cares if he fits in, so long as he looks the part. He's the sort of guy that invades your dreams whether you want him to or not, always taunting you with his arrogance that leaves you yearning for more... you almost want him to be cruel to you just so you can see more of him. His hair is unruly and cute, though he'd never admit to it, giving him a sort of fun easy-going look.

Strengths: He can be playful, fun, and entertaining if you get passed all the 'I Rule and you drool!" exterior. He can get away with almost anything just by smiling and playing the cute boy routine. He's a skilled fighter, even without all the other extras that other Night World species have; he knows where the right pressure points in Shapeshifters and how to confuse a vampire in a fight. Zane is particularly fond of making charms and is good at them, too. He knows how to get people to do what he wants by just acting a certain way and using his craft to weave spells to change the mood in people.

Weaknesses: The secret of Zane is that he is addicted and overly attracted to female vampires. He will stop at nothing, like any addicted person, to get that rush. He's too self involved to notice anyone or anything around him. Always off in a distant world where he is king and everyone else is just playing the part to win his affections. He's a bit delusional and will write anyone off as useless and stupid if they try to make him see otherwise. He can be heartless and uncaring of peoples feelings, particularly if they are below him.

History: Zane's parents were both Witches who grew up in the Night World and never knew a normal human life, giving their two children the same background. It took Zane many years to realize that he had to hide his power from humans for a reason, not just because they didn't know, but because it was Night World Law. When he was 12 years old he told his best friend and she ended up dead. Everyone told him it was an accident and not something they had done, but he knew better. Ever since her death he's become withdrawn and troublesome, purposefully poking at Night World adults Authority.

The only person he looks out for and generally cares for is his little sister, Zoe, who just recently found out he had been charming every guy that came into her life into hating her. Since then the two have been using spells against one another and getting into trouble for causing big scenes and other such trouble.
