Boyish and cute, Rory comes off as an easy going kind of guy just by looking at him. He has a mop of dark auburn hair, left a little long for his taste which surrounds a handsome but sweet face. With a pair of dreamy chocolate brown eyes, he can melt almost any girl's heart with a sly grin or cheeky smirk. He has a skate boarder's bulid for his body, not terribly tall and somewhat muscular barely touching the threshold that would define him as lanky. His clothing style usually involves jeans and band shirts, with a pair of skateboarding styled shoes.

Fun and a joker, Rory can get along with generally everyone and most people like to keep him around. He's the comic relief a lot of the time, cracking a joke or playing on to ease the tension. Like his older sister Mariah, he's spunky and feisty as well. He's generally oblivious to most female attentions, and he has a hard time even admitting to himself when he likes a girl. He has a lot of resentment towards his parents for never being there, so he doesn't like to talk about them but will talk about his various nannies and his older sisters a ton if you get him started.

Classic guitar is definitely a forte of his, from twelve string to even an electric, he has a true talent when it comes to them. He is non-confrontational in many things and finds humor in a lot of stuff as well. His positive attitude around him surprises many but often rubs off on others. He is loyal to his family and friends, believing in sticking by them through thick and thin.

When people talk about how loving their parents were, Rory gets very jealous. He'll walk away from a conversation or find himself clenching his fist tightly. His parents were never there for him it hurts to know that others were more lucky than he was. He plays jokes a lot and will cross the line a lot of the time without realizing it as well. As a human he has no special supernatural gifts and is just as strong as any other seventeen year old boy. When it comes to Night World knowledge, he knows absolutely nothing and is non-observant of the others around him.

Rory was the youngest and the only boy in his family, though the only family he felt he really knew were his older sisters, Jewel & Mariah. His parents were almost never home, either working or vacationing without them. He grew to resent them over the years, purposely playing pranks on the nannies to somehow gain their attention, only it seemed that they would pay even less attention than they already did. Instead they bought him more presents to try to make up for their absence and it only made Rory more frustrated. Eventually he didn't want them around at all anymore so when they died in a plane crash, his sisters were devastated, but Rory was secret relieved. They no longer had a bad excuse for not being around.

As he got older he picked up playing classic guitar and drums. The drums were a way for me to vent his anger, while the guitar was a release for his emotions of regret and sadness. He remained happy overall though, trying to be a rock of support for his sisters and take care of them, even after they moved in with their aunt after their parents' death. Their parents left them all a large inheritance and he used some of his to buy his own collection of guitars. He went onto Ashwood when he was old enough and has been attending it ever since. He doesn't like to think of his parents anymore, since he felt they never thought of him.

Rory met his soulmate in Gisele, the two having to keep their relationship a secret in fear of her brother finding out. Unfortunately the gig was up and Gisele was practically disowned by her brother. More pressure was put on the two when her parents found out and eventually he was told by the Council through Lennox that he needed to change into a vampire or shifter, or else.
