Personality: Raleigh is on the quiet side of things. He's not exactly shy, but by no means can be considered outgoing. He prefers to observe rather than speak, and remains that way until he gets comfortable with people. Once that happens, though, it's almost like a different person. Still fairly quiet and subdued, but much more open and talkative. Rai can be a bit goofy, loving to tell jokes and make people laugh. He has a subtle humour, and will pick on those he feels close to in a friendly manner. No harm meant at all. If in fact someone does get offended, he will feel incredibly guilty and apologize profusely until the situation is remedied. He's a nice guy in every sense of the word, and rarely gets angry. Rai is incredibly smart, scarily so at times, and filled with all sorts of knowledge. Not just the conventional book or life smarts either. He's a trivis and music efficiando, and can quote his favorite movies to you as if he'd written them himself. He loves music, in all its forms, but can't play or sing to save his life. Rai's mind works in a very logical way, and he rarely thinks outside the box. Everything has to have a rational explaination. It has to.

Appearance: Raleigh is a very attractive guy, though he is very unaware of this fact. His hair is a dark mousse-like brown, cut in a short style. Usually he lays it down flat on his head, but sometimes he can forget and leaves in a disheveled style. His eyes are a dark brown, almost black, with hints of red. Giving them a more mahogany look than anything else. He has a very defined facial shape, almost as if he was sculpted from flesh-colored stone. Rai is tall, standing at over 6' in height, with a lean build. Not exactly scrawny, but far from muscular. His skin is on the paler side of things, but tans very well if he spend some time outside. Rai's dress style is casual, with a little more style than most guys his age. He's almost metro, but not quite there. Still, girls notice his superior sense of dress, and it's easy for him to be mistaken for a model. Until one gets to know him, that is.

Strengths: If you ever need an answer, come ask him. Chances are he will know the right one. If he doesn't, he will not rest until he finds it. This is the type of guy to count on in a pinch, of the academic variety or otherwise. Some may call him a bit of a geek, but he is well-liked enough to stay out of the bullies radar. His sense of humour is a great asset, as he can make anyone laugh in any situation. A useful talent for relieving stressful scenarios. Rai is a fountain of trivia, movie, and music knowledge. He can quote any movie or TV show, and probably knows obscure facts about his favorite bands. He's a quiet guy, and is very adept at reading people. He can peg a person from only a few moments of conversation, and peg them correctly. A logical mind, he's good at solving problems and coming up with new ideas so long as they're within the realm of normal thought.

Weaknesses: A bit on the shier side of things. He's very quiet, not talking much or opening up his true nature until he feels comfortable. Sometimes his humour isn't understood by all, especially if someone is affected by his teasing. He can be a bit of a pushover, as he prefers not to instigate confrontation. Not to say he's weak-minded, but he prefers to keep things simple. A bit of a geek, he is sometimes prone to teasing. Not any violence, but a joke here and there. His logical nature is a bit of a hindrance also. He's not the most creative, and can't see things in a broader spectrum. Which includes anything of the paranormal variety. If it has no logical explaination, it can't exist to him. Sometimes he can get carried away with quoting things, until people beg him to be quiet. He's also a human, so is held back by the normal weaknesses that species suffers.

History: Raleigh's childhood is extremely uneventful. He grew up in Winthrop, the oldest child out of two. Rai and his younger sister were close, as siblings usually are, and spent a lot of time together growing up. Despite the fact that Junet was technically his half-sister, the result of his mother's infedility, neither of them seemed to care. Their parents were extremely wealthy, yet ultimately unattentive. Most of the time they were with the children, they fought. The rest of the time they were gone. The responsibility of caring for his younger sister was primarily on his shoulders. Most boys would grow up overwhelmed and resentful of this, but Rai was never a bitter boy. Nor was he incapable of handling responsibility.

When he was 12, their parents decided to get a divorce. This came as no surprise to him, since he was extremely intuitive and observant. He'd seen it coming. His sister took it hard, but he was there for support and comfort when she needed it. The children remained in Winthrop with their mother, while their father moved to the west coast. Both children attended Ashwood when old enough, and things have been calm ever since.
