He stands about six foot two which was a bit tall for the time he comes from. His eyes are dark, stormy, and go from blacks to dark blues/greens. His hair is very blonde and goes with his naturally pale skin, his eyebrows a few shades darker. No one really accuses Leo of being unattractive and the more he frowns the better looking he seems to get, and he's a naturally broody sort of guy. He carries himself in a very fine manner including his attire, even usually has a handkerchief or something like it on hand. Sometimes, particularly when he's happy, he looks ages younger than he seems on a regular basis.

Leo is well poised, mannered, and keeps to himself. A gentleman at heart he likes to hold doors open and treat people, particularly females, with respect. He can be a bit over emotional, pessimistic, and seemingly troubled. He likes to keep things the way they are and dislikes huge changes that force him to be something he doesn't feel he is. He cares for his family above all else but often it is a tough love where he seems as though he doesn't care. His emotions come quickly, in and out, from one extreme to the next, and usually it's inner turmoil.

Leo is a made vampire and has been so long enough to know his body and new enhancements very well. Enough so that he could be in a physical fight and not actually harm his opponent so much as disable them from attacking further. He respects people no matter their sex, species, religion, or other differences. He believes in fair judgments and tries not to be too open about his opinion unless directly asked. He has an amazing memory and a fondness for classical music and is very good at playing early 20th century piano.

He's more than a bit secretive, he rarely tells anyone his true feelings. Most say he looks constantly gloomy because his facial expression is nearly blank all the time. He has mood swings very rarely and when he does they are traumatic for himself and anyone else involved. As a made vampire he needs blood to survive above anything else in his life it is the most important, and he hates that fact. He can put it off, starve himself, until he goes crazy with need.

Leo was born in Virgina in the late 1840s. He was the oldest son of a family full of females and he went to war in 1863 as proud as could be to serve the Confederate Army. He never returned. During a battle he was left behind as wounded and pronounced likely to die. Yet he didn't. He carried himself down a dark path trying to seek anyone for help when he came upon a house. The occupants had strange colored eyes and through a series of events he no longer cares to remember he was turned into a vampire. He ran. When he showed up home strangely fast and with a thirst for blood his mother declared him a demon. Possessed. She tried to contact a local priest and ward him away but in frustration he attacked her. He doesn't know whether she lived or died because he ran away in horror with his own mothers blood on his face. He never returned.

He spent a long time running from the Night World that deemed him an illegal vampire and set out to kill him. In the early part of the 20th century he came across another vampire named Meredith. She was intellectual and had a small group of younger vampires, like himself, who were runaway illegal vampires. They formed a sort of family bond that lasted up until now, always giving themselves the surname from a Jane Austin character. Currently they are Dashwoods and attending Ashwood Academy as Meredith, their so-called mother, got a job there. Leo is pretending to be a 17 year old Junior despite being changed at 18 and technically being over 150 years old.
