No one ever really believes that Killian only 18. He's got the body of a man whose spent at least five years or more working every hour of his existence on buffing his body up, and they'd pretty much be right. He's not into sports, because he doesn't want to play with other guys. He wants to body build, work out, run, and even swim on his own. Physical contact with other guys, he says, is demeaning. His entire body is toned with muscle. His olive skin-tone is a heritage of his South American and Italian families. His hair is black, his eyes are crystal green, and he stands at 6'3" with sharp, memorable, features. In shifted form he's a huge jet-black Jaguar with white-honey eyes. He also emits a sort of spicy, sensual, scent.

Killian is the quiet storm that no one expects. On the outside he's this smoldering beauty of a man with the 'bad boy' look about him, while on the inside he's pretty much bored. Like almost any cat in nature he finds sleeping, prowling, and eating to be his top three favorite things to do. And almost always does them in that order every couple of hours if he can manage it. He's more of the cat than the guy people want him to be; his temper can only be pushed if he's feeling ornery or you get in his way once too many times. He gets bored of people quickly and will walk away in the middle of a conversation, because he doesn't realize it's rude, and also and more obviously he doesn't care.

Killian has an absurd amount of physical strength. As a Shapeshifter this is typical, as a man this is pressured, as it embodies most of his hobbies and future. He practically emits a wave of dominance everywhere he goes. His intelligence is not always applied in an academic sense, but he's a rather smart guy. He isn't so much interested in grades as other things in life. His personality and the way he attempts to win peoples respect has, at times, given up the upper hand that not everyone in Winthrop and Ashwood treat him as though he's a lowly Shapeshifter. He has no problem helping fellow Night Worlders out --- donating blood to the vampires, and allowing witches to experiment spells on him, so long as everyone respects, understands, and helps him out when he asks. He's a good business man, although it's never occurred to him. Another strength about Killian is that he has control. He has been trained by his family to be honorable and yet still a fighter.

Yes, Killian has no idea he's liquid-freaking-walking-sex. He has no problem charming people with his looks alone, and he thinks its his natural ability to dominate on an subconscious level that does it instead. So when he takes a jog without a shirt, he usually stops at least half a dozen people in their tracks to watch him. So in reality, Killian doesn't know himself as well as he thinks which is a big disadvantage as far as he'd be concerned if he knew. Guys are often jealous of him, but not always since it is the Night World he lives in, and he seems to get into a lot of fights with people who purposefully pick on him because they feel less manly in comparison.

The Black family is a large group of "Black Panthers", meaning they are not only black Jaguars like Killian, but cougars and leopards too. They have in the past purposefully married/added into their line other black cat Shapeshifters to add to their family background. Unlike other Shapeshifters the Black family is well known in the Night World for being organized, like a little mafia of brute cats. Members of the family are not raised by parents in a single-setting environment, but rather in a community as a whole. Killian as such has been raised in a way you might imagine a "military" kind of style. Not only has he moved around - a lot - but he's never really had a family (in the loving, nurturing, comfortable sense).

Like most Night Worlders who have a grudge against Shapeshifters/Werewolves, Killian has a prejudice against them as well. Ultimately, the Shapeshifters were in control of the Night World for a long time and then sort of 'black booked' as a whole, Killian's family believes that they are the better slice of the Night World. They believe heavily in the "keep your enemies close" saying.

He, like his sister Misty, was sent to Ashwood for their High School Years. However, Killian was removed last year for a 'family trip' to Europe, which he won't talk about. He has since returned a little late for his Senior Year.
