VAMPIRE PROFILE Name: Giovanni Redfern The III
Personality: Quiet, calm, and cold are the three words that best describe Giovanni. He knows he is strong, and amazing athlete, and has a high level of intellect; and he makes sure others understand that as well. Surprisingly, other than showing off his personal strengths he does not boast about his family's wealth or power. He doesn't believe in love, or the idea of soulmates. The only love he experiences is his love of know ledge, writing, and the feelings from his younger sister. It's truly hard to anger him; he views any insults as a sign of the persons ignorance. The only thing that will ever get him angry is when it involves someone hurting his sister Gianna. When that does occur, the responsible party truly should fear for their life. Van makes sure to only associates himself with his own kind, meaning other Lamia. He will sometimes be pleasant towards witches, but only when he wants or needs something. He will pretend to be nice to young human women, but only to lure them in has his prey. Appearance: Van is the definition of tall, dark, and handsome. He stands at 6'4" tall and is very well known for his slim, but muscular body. He keeps his chestnut hair short and spiked up, which he believes makes him appear more artistic. His skin is a golden tan color year round, which sets off his most prominent feature. Van has the most entrancing, sky blue eyes. Many women have fallen victim to those eyes, and have found themselves unable to look away. His sense of style is impeccable. Italian leather shoes, designer pants tailored to fit his body, and shirts that just cling and show off his chiseled body. Strengths: Amazing strength and speed are par for the coarse of a Lamia Vampire. He has a very strong will and the ability to trick any human prey into his web, and turn them loose later without an idea of what happened. Besides being a vampire, he is also an intellectual and a fictional writer. He takes the saying "healthy mind and body" seriously -- so he not only works on his intellect but his physical shape as well.He uses his intelligence and god-like appearance to his advantage when finding his prey, and to achieve what he wants. Weaknesses: Being a vampire, wood stakes and fire could kill him; but Van's major weakness is his lust for blood. Since he was 16 He has been known to go on "blood binges" with humans, and when he gets the itching feeling for one it's hard to overcome it. The thrill of the chase, the challenge of tricking and trapping human women, the taste, and the intoxicating effects of the blood has a very, very strong hold over his life. The fact that he was raised in an old world family makes it difficult for him. He was taught to treat shifters as slaves, humans as nothing but food, and that witches were useful for doing their dirty work. This upbringing makes him usually only speak with other Lamia, and treat other Night Worlders like dirt. History: Giovanni was born into a line of Redfern's in upstate New York. His mother was a sophisticated socialite, and his father was the Dean of a private University. This line of Lamia prided themselves on following the ways of the Old World. At a very young age he was molded into a Vampire who believed his kind were superior to all of the Nightworld. He was taught that shifters are meant to be slaves, Witches are remotely tolerable, and humans were there to be eaten and used. He may have grown up with money and appear spoiled, but the strictness of his parents made him not cross the line of being selfish. He learned to appreciate his family's wealth and power, not to abuse it. His family was very cold at times, often the only signs of affection he received were from his adoring younger sister Gianna. She was his opposite; bubbly, loving, and personable. She truly was the light in his life, and he made sure that he would do his best to protect her. He has even as gone as far as practically draining the life out of any human boy who tries to get to close to her. He knows she disapproves of his actions, but she never dared to ever say an unkind word about him. While in school he was a prized fencer, and excellent student, and an amazing Athlete. But his true skills lied in writing. He was fascinated with classic literature, and set a goal to become a Literature Professor and a Novelist. When he approached his parents during his junior year, they immediately had him transfered to the esteemed Ashwood Academy. The fact that their son wanted to become a member of the elite education community made them proud, and they were willing to pay any amount to insure that he would follow through and get into the best college. |
