Personality: Her heart is pure of golden innocence. She strives to make those around her happy to that point its almost obsessive and odd. She never asks for anything in return, either. She just wants to please everybody. It's so hardcore in her nature that it's almost all she does. Being that she hasn't really been in the human public eye she also doesn't quite understand normal teenage behavior and she's very old fashioned. Most people just label her cute and eccentric and secretly wonder if she was abused as a child. You could call her names and scream at her with the most hate you could possibly conjure and she'd shake it off and try to find ways to make you happy. Her smile is also contagious because you just know its the most genuine thing on earth. She's a hopeless romantic and hides romance novels under her pillowcase.

Appearance: Gena is adorable and blonde with dark blue eyes and perfect skin. She has the looks of an all American girl, even though she hardly understands what the description means. She stands at 5'8" with enough curves to give her a very feminine look whether she likes it/knows it or not. Unless Kael tells her what to wear she always wears skirts and dresses because that is what proper girls wear besides her school uniform during school hours.

Strengths: Generally a good natured person, unless told to do otherwise, Gena can't imagine a world without beauty. She has a light to her step and can follow directions to amazing perfection. She's generous and would give her own body part to someone in need. She's very understanding and can take all sorts of troublesome situations with a clear head. She knows who she is, where she stands, and what she is and she is perfectly at home with all of these things.

Weaknesses: Has a submissive personality and doesn't think for herself. She is used to having to keep her thoughts and emotions to herself and not impose anyone with her problems because they are meaningless. She spends too much time making sure everything around her is perfect and that she pleases everyone she comes in contact with. Gena is obviously very physically weak and easy to break.

History: For many generations the Blackhearts have been slaves to Nightworld families. They have lived at both the Black Dawn castle and the Night World islands and various places throughout the world. They get their last name from someone in their family having an affair with their keeper and eventually killing him in jealousy. The rest of the family was slaughtered save for a young girl and boy who were too beautiful and sold off to the highest bidders. The boy was Gena's great grandfather. He past down all the stories of the Blackhearts and many dark Night World secrets.

When Gena was old enough she was sent to work for the Rowley family from Ireland. They had a son who was the same age as her and although it was usually frowned upon for the opposite sex to be enslaved it was what the family had wanted. Kael went to Ashwood Academy and that was where Gena was to go. It was worked out that no one would know that she was really his personal 'slave' and blood bank but that she understood her free education was only to better Kael's future and to feed back whatever information she could to his mother.
