Like most of the Black family, Caleb is tall, dark, and handsome with naturally tanned skin, dark hair that he wears a little long and seems to give him a 'devil may care' persona. He stands at around six foot two and is all tones muscle though not as ripped as some of his other relatives may be. When he moves, it's with a jungle cat's grace and he constantly looks like he's hunting for something, a predatory walk that comes naturally to him. His eyes are dark brown with a ring of green around the pupil that usually has people taking a second look. Clothing wise he likes to wear tattered jeans, steel toed boots and black shirts, not because he's purposefully trying to look cool, but because he feels most comfortable in them.

When people look at Caleb they think delinquint, ladies man, and potential murder suspect. The delinquint part is pretty spot on, but Caleb doesn't go out of his way to attract girls. They're attractive but he doesn't try to play on them, if anything he thinks they just get in the way and bring emotional baggage he doesn't want. Convinced that if he ever does marry, it'll be for breeding purposes and beyond that the girl better get used to being ignored. He's got better things to do with his time. Which is his attitude most of the time. He doesn't like to trouble himself with things that don't directly effect him and most of his friends are more like acquaintances he sees over and over again.

He's got the strength and agility that comes with his species, and considering how he was raised he's more capable and not only naturally good at hunting, but more so. He's his own person and enjoys what he does with the family so he does a good job. he's fairly good at figuring things out and he pays attentino to the details when he's working, he's professional. His family hopes that at Ashwood, where the education is far better than a public school, he'll be more inclined to want to learn more. However, Caleb feels comfortable with who and what he is and doesn't see a need beyond that.

Caleb has a very basic understanding of things like mathematics and the English language. He doesn't write often because he doesn't see the point since he isn't trying to be a writer or take on any professino for those things really matter. Caleb considers people allies more than he does friends and doesn't really know anyone personally. He keeps to himself, doesn't have anything he wants to divulge to anyone about anything. He's impatient and if something annoys him he'll tell the person right away that they're doing it. This sort of honesty is usually brutish and uncensored and hurts more people, because he allows it to be accompanied by insults.

Caleb grew up in the militaristic run home of his family who were all part of the noted Black family of shapeshifters. But instead of obedience he was a constant pain in the ass growing up, causing trouble and getting himself into it more than his family wanted. Really he just wanted in on the family business, and so when he was old enough to start working as part of it, he started to straighten up. So to speak. However when it came to going to school, he continued to rebel not thinking education would do him much good in the future beyond the basics.

As he got into high school he failed a grade and ended up having to repeat his senior year though he was promptly kicked out from school, though only his parents and immediate family know why, everyone else just makes up reasons. He was brought along to Ashwood for Lennox's investigation and is working, so to speak, undercover though only his father knows this, the rest of the family is unaware.
