Personality: He is a bad boy. Or, that's what he makes people think. He walks around like he's got a chip on his shoulder, seemingly uncaring of anything around him. The only thing you'll ever see him doing is playing guitar, or playing with his lighter. Most people whisper behind his back that's he dangerous, and almost everyone is afraid to go near him. Which suits him fine, since he prefers to be alone. Or so he'd have you believe. In reality, he's just an incredibly vulnerable and troubled boy. Not in the emotionally broken and can't function sense, but he has his demons. You'll never hear him discuss them, or himself for that matter, but inside that caustic and prickly shell is a heart of gold. He'll do subtle things to help those being picked on by bullies, making it impossible to trace back to him. He's the black knight who swoops in to save the girl, but never takes his mask off and disappears without a trace. No one knows the real him, and he feels it necessary to keep it that way. Or try, at least.

Appearance: Like is typical for most boys christened with the "bad boy" title, Bray is incredibly attractive. His hair is dark, not dark brown, but black. Bray usually leaves it in a spiked style that borders on messy. It's an orderly disarray, though, and irresistable to girls he's been told. His eyes are exotically shaped, and a wonderful topaz color. Most people are surprised to see so unique and bright a color on him, and he himself doesn't much like it. His face is defined, easily switching from sexy to adorable. Full lips are usually set in a scowl or a dangerous expression, though rare occasions bring the pleasantness out. Bray is average height, around 5'1", with a lithe and lean build. His muscles are hidden within his frame, though he does have nice chisled abs to display. He has peaches and cream skin, not too tan, but nowhere near pale. There are burn scars on his back and on the inside of his forearms, though he does everything in his power to ensure no one can see. When out of uniform he is fond of casual dress. Jean jackets and pants, dark shirts of the long-sleeved variety, that sort of thing.

Strengths: Independence and survival instincts are his biggest assets. He is used to being on his own and taking care of himself, therefore doesn't require help from others. He's incredibly smart, though one wouldn't know it by grades, and this intelligence extends beyond books also. He's skilled in more than a few styles of fighting, so can take care of himself and others in a scrape. It also helps that he has incredible problem solving skills and his great at thinking on his feet. Of course, his ability is an advantage in itself. Not many humans can call upon and control fire. This can come in handy when he feels he needs to use it, and has also educated him in the supernatural aspects of life. In addition to these, he's also incredibly talented when it comes to guitar. Music is his one outlet, but no one has ever heard him play

Weaknesses: A loner by choice, he doesn't have friends. Most people are afraid of him, and more than once he's been unjustly accused of some heinous act. His past haunts him, and he refuses to talk about it so is never able to get the feelings off his chest. He feels incredible guilt for the deaths his out of control power caused, and is incredibly lonely since it destroyed his family. A bit bitter, and equipped with an attitude problem all adults fear. There's no sweet talking with him, and he resents even his generally good nature. Including the impulses that compell him to do good deeds(albeit unnoticed). The ability that sometimes gives him an edge is also a curse. More often than not, he can't control it despite his hard work over the years. Intense emotions, anger or otherwise, trigger it which is why he tends to avoid them.

History: Bray was born to a wealthy family in Ireland. He was the second oldest of four children, and the family was extremely close knit. Everyone supported one another, confided to one another, and there was hardly any discourse. A bright and sweet boy, Bray was always there for his family and friends. He was popular, and loved going to school so he could see his friends and learn new things. Everything was perfect and he was entirely content with his life. Until he turned 12. On his twelfth birthday, he began to notice changes in him. At first, he wrote the strange occurances off as his imagination. There was no way he could have started that fire when he was arguing with his brother. No way he could have woken up only to find part of his dresser was in flanes. Bray thought he was going crazy, so he kept the occurances from his family. Things continued to spiral in this manner, the incidents getting only worse and worse, for a year. The next year when he turned thirteen, tragedy struck. He had had a particularly nasty fight with his father, which wasn't normal for him. But he'd been feeling increasingly frustrated with what he thought was his fall into insanity. He stormed up to his room, not noticing the trail of flames he was leaving in his wake.

Bray went to sleep that night angrier than he'd been in his life. He dreamt equally angry dreams, and when he woke in the middle of the night, it wasn't because of nightmares. It was because the smell of smoke was so thick he couldn't breathe. Upon opening his eyes, he saw his room was engulfed in flames. Panicked, he scrambled out of bed, but there was nowhere to go. The smoke overcame him, and Bray fell to unconsciousness believing he was going to die. He woke a week later, however, in a strange place. The doctors informed him he was in a hospital. Someone had pulled him from the flames, but hadn't been able to save his family. Only his younger sister had survived. Devastated, Bray knew this was his fault. He became bitter and closed-off, emotions that only intensified when he was informed he was in a special treatment center. The doctors explained that he was "special", and his ability needed to be studied and controlled. Bray wanted to leave, to see his sister, but they refused to let him. He remained there for a few years, more and more miserable as the days went by. When he turned old enough, they sent him to America. Ashwood Academy in the town of Winthrop had families and people who could further help with his control.

After being given a scholarship and a family to take him in, Bray was shipped off to a new continent. At first, he was resistent to the change, but has since decided he doesn't care.
