Benedict is attractive in a cute teddy bear way, which often works to his advantage. He looks soft and approachable. He's tall and lean, with strong upper arms and a flat torso. Benedict's hair is the colour of dried wheat, and he keeps it cut very short in a close cropped buzz top. His eyes are the colour of chocolate, quite small and almost beady, and can be very intense when looking right at you. He has an interesting face, a look that says quirky intelligence, with a disarming smile.

Benedict usually always has his nose in some sort of book. He doesn’t appear to be very threatening at all, and his studious nature has often made him a target for bullies. Who soon back off. Ben is not the push over he seems like. He’s studied magic since a young age and loves it. Ben enjoys any chance he gets to show off how smart or powerful he is, and for that reason only has signed up for volunteer tutoring - to find people to pass his knowledge on to and mould into the right frame of thinking.

Ben is strong willed and full of determination. He likes to think there is nothing he can't do and he will push himself to complete whatever he sets out to. He's goal orientated and likes working in structure and rules. He enjoys pressure and feels it brings out the best of his abilities. He believes there is nothing he can do if he puts his mind to it. He's a talented witch, particularly in making potions, as it's a lot like chemistry and getting the right balance (as he sees it). Bennedict can recite herbs and crystals and their properties off the top of his head.

Ben is hot headed and always thinks he's right. He simply hates to be told no. He refuses to accept it and usually winds up whining until he gets his own way. Or he will go very cold and mean and hex the culprit mercilessly. Ben has no time for most people, or listening to other opinions. He uses people to his advantage and discards them when he's gone, girls in particular. He also hates the idea of asking for help. He would rather suffer alone than admit he needs someone.

Benedict grew up in England with his mother and sisters. They were trained witches, from a line of Twilighters. He liked magic and studied hard as with his school work, but just didn’t get the ideals of Circle Twilight. Why they don’t want to be stronger and more powerful has always been beyond him. His mother was a surgeon and something went wrong with one of her patients and the family of the patient sued and created a big fuss. Forcing them to move to get away from the whole thing. They moved to America and in with his maternal grandparents, in the town of Winthrop. Shortly after starting at Ashwood Academy, Ben announced to his family that Midnight would be his Circle. They were disappointed, and don’t really speak to him much. Ben focuses himself on graduating and ever improving his magic, and getting into an Ivy League college.
